Mike Solan races a fast Caterham at Spa from the back

In 2005 at Spa I qualified on row 7 in a Caterham MegaGrad (the fastest Class) out of 65 cars. The car wouldnt start at first, so I eventually started by bump starting it down the slight hill after everyone had passed me on the grid. It led to some interesting overtaking moves! Easy at first as the backmarkers were slower than me, becoming more difficult as I caught up quicker cars...

Thanks, I had the Mic in the engine bay, cable tied to the wiring harness. If its located elswhere the wind noise drowns out everything else.

Thanks. At Spa they wont let you have the engine running on the grid till just before the start. When I tried, the starter solenoid had failed...

Man, what a show ! It is obvious in the 2 first laps that you're able to hit the brakes 10m later than the other drivers and still go smoothly around corners. Lovely takeovers, especially after the Raidillon in lap number two. Almost scary. Congrats.
