I cut my Christian "teeth" on Watchman Nee's teachings and am still enjoying him almost three decades later. Discerning between flesh and spirit, entering His rest, and "it is finish" stepping stones of the Christian walk. Praise our incredible savior.

We must exercise our spirit when we speak even to wish someone happy birthday - by this way our spirit touches the recipient's spirit - this will attract them - maybe this is how James and John were able o just leave their nets and follow the Lord - their spirit was attracted to the Spirit of God.

I think Watchman Nee is brilliant. Such a great spiritual teacher as Derek Prince thought highly of him and were, it seems, influenced by him ( see e.g. Prince's 'Bible Psychology' 4 cd pack). I am reading 'L'homme spirituel' by Nee. It is imperitive reading for every Christian - though not necessarily endorsed by many church leaders of today. And indeed, some of his teachings are hard. But true. He taught me: God - Jesus - Holy Spirit - my spirit - intuition - conscience - communion - God.
