Can a 38 colt fit into a 38 spl?

Yes, and with no troubles, but it is not advised to fire a .38 special out of a .38 Colt (as far as I know, there are no modern day firearms manufactured solely for the .38 Colt).

Thanks. I put it up because of the "troll" who adamantly claimed that he had converted a .36 to shoot .45 cartridges...

No joke I was thinking of this idea this morning. If it could be done. Wow I am new to BP got my first one...the cabelas .51 44 brass. Would that make a difference with these conversions. I shoot 30 grain pyrodex out of it and it has been flawless? Thanks for the video and making my dreams come true, lol.

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the "drop-in" conversion cylinders are not recommended for use in brass framed revolvers.
I have a '51 "buntline" with a brass frame and can't use a conversion cylinder in it.
However, good news! I just saw that Cabelas has a sale right now on their steel framed models. :)
