@belleberstinge To add on, the gameplay is quite like the bare-bones traditional JRPG, but it now comes with a map marker that tells you where to go next to progress the main quest. The battle mechanics are of the final-fantasy-meets-pokemon-ki­nd, and that's quite solid, providing something for both casual gamers more hardcore ones. The music is great and gets you in the mood on first listen, but the shortness of the tracks make it get repetitive really fast. The visuals are cute and delightful.

Okay, for those who want to buy this just because of the big names, I've played it and I can tell you that the scences where Ghibli do hand-drawn animation are minimal. Most of the cutscenes are animated in-game and even so are sparsely distributed. The ratio is about 15 secs to 30 min of gameplay, and that is if you go story-mode all the way. You aren't going to get cutscenes on the level of Metal Gear Solid. And even so, Hayao Miyazaki isn't part of the team that's working on this game.

Back on topic, I might definitely get this game; It looks well worth it. Plus it's the product of the marriage between Level-5 and Studio Ghilbi, so yeah, that too:-)

@Kytseo IDK man, like Demon's Souls, this game is starting to get TONS of word of mouth advertising. Hell, thanks to all the word of mouth I was introduced to studio Ghibli for the first time the other week. Spirited Away........ Incredible fucking film. Princess Mononoke, also an amazing film. Howl's Moving Castle? You bet ur sweet ass it was good. My neighbor Totoro? eh, loved the characters, found the movie kind of boring though. 3-3/4 out of 4 aint bad.

I have the DS one and it was amazing. This one looks absolutely amazing-er! They've perfectly mimiced the great Ghibli animations on the DS one using CG and the backgrounds are as beautiful as ever! Hopefully there'll be a European release date and I'll beg for a PS3 before then XD
