The original Dillards, live at the Tonder Festival in Denmark in 1999.
Probably the last time they came to Europe to play.

  • I have this song on my iPod and when it comes on my son and I usually listen to it about 20 times in a row. I never tire of it, it puts a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. It KICKS ASS!!

  • 2 communist now

  • @gildone84 I don't doubt it. In the mp3 I have of them singing this song, they're singing "ton" as well, so it depends on the version of the song.

  • @LighthawkTenchi I've listened to their Backporch Bluegrass version several times. They really are saying "ton" in that version.

  • @gildone84 Right, I understand. Still, one can easily get confused if they're not listening closely.

  • @LighthawkTenchi If you listen to the song on their original album: Back Porch Bluegrass, it sure sounds like "ton" (it's on youtube if you search for it). But on the AG show and in other versions it's "drum".

  • Typical southern people 4 minute story for a two minute song

  • Oooh that's a good'un! One...two...three....and away we go...

  • this is music
