  • I went to see "The Inn of the Sixth Happiness" in 1959, when I was a 12 years old boy and thought the film and Malcolm Arnold's score were wonderful. They still are, over fifty-two years later. You won't see anything like it made today. The talent just isn't around anymore and the film industry is completely different now to what it was like when I was a youngster.

  • Wonderful performance! They get it as near to the original film soundtrack score as makes no difference. Some people are so talented with music. The only musical instrument I can play is the record player.

  • I want to go to Sichuan province to practice medicine.

  • Thank you for your memories.

  • i was 5/6 years old and thought acting in a film was normal! I had a speaking part as Bao-Bao, one of the adopted children introduced to Lin. We filmed in Elstree and North Wales. I was really scared crossing the river and when the aweroplanes attacked us..not acting! When Lee was being buried, he stood behind the camera pulling faces at us and I thought he had really died! I went toa reunion a few years ago and have stills and yes the music is wonderful and the film very special for many people

  • One of the most enchanting musical scores ever.

  • Can you give us some stories of your experience while filming such a memorable movie? It is one of my most favourite movies.

  • i enjoyed that but then I was in the film way back long ago..fond memories

  • nice piccolo solo.

  • do you have the whole piece? i really like it.
