@hanrinch well, i have the same card, and i have 2 fans total in my pc, thought the card keeps extremely cool. there is even coming a cold breeze from my pc!
-
@LookHere3 haha ive had a 8800gt and 3 different 9800gt's running on a 450w cheap psu withut any problems, what are you trying to power with a 800W psu there? :)

Any idea what this card runs bad company 2 on 1440x900 at?
Was thinking of getting this because it's silent.
I would be putting probably an 80mm or 2 on it, on 5v or 3v so it remains silent, but just to help cool it.
My 2600pro is the only thing making noise in my case....

i have this card too and is a awesome card the temperature is 38-39C and full load 50-52C

i just got a feeling that you might got scammed...a 9800gt aint going to cost 150 bucks. i'd say $120 at best in 2010 since it's old card......was it came from local retailer? if i were you i'd just get it from newegg or tiger direct....
anyway i seem your description however a silent heatsink can manage to cool at such temp is pretty suspicious....may it be the software misjudge? or driver bug?
-
btw what is ur gpu temp?
why bought a after market model? and it is silent version with 6pin? you are out of your mind.......you have no idea how hot 9800gt runs....

@hanrinch
Maybe i don't know that much... Maybe I'm not cooling my card correctly... Maybe its too much hot here in south Asia... But still, amazingly, my gpu is running much much cooler than the fanned 9800 that my neighbor has...

conclusion: bad air flow for your neighbor's gfx. he needs to change his case or else it will shorten the card life span. however i would suggest u to by an AC heatsink if you want your card last longer..

@hanrinch
Thanks for your advise... I'll try to manage one... and the temp and my economic status is in the description...
