That is nuts! Zabriskie was averaging just over 27 MPH...that is almost nauseatingly fast.

@barchetta575m Do you have any suggestions for everyday casual riders like me? The longest rides I do are 20-35 miles, and I keep hearing "eat carbs" but no one is giving "specific" foods to eat. I've also been told that everyone's body is different, and eating before a ride may/ may not be right for me, and some eat big the day before a ride or the night before. I usually have water or gatorade, nutra grain bars or energy gel. I'd like to know if there is food out there for cyclists. Thanks.

@thisisobvious Hey I'm just curious. I'm not a pro rider or anything, I just ride for conditioning and exercise. Do you have any suggestions for actual food that I should eat before going on long rides like 25 miles or more? I keep hearing "eat carbs" but no one is giving any type of specific food. The only thing i can tell is that time trial is te hardest shit ever. I know the pain. BUT it´s also a LOT OF FUN.
