Is that the real Hank Mobley? I think NOT!!!!!!! The real Hank Mobley would not even try to draw a comparison between the great Antoine Roney and the immortal titan John Coltrane. Comparisons of this type are always odious.
An amazing show, with 3 generations (sort of) on stage -- The Elder 'Naser the Master' Abadey (who can do no wrong) on drums; Antoine Roney on sax, who seemed to go into a trance and not come out until the show was over; and Rashaan Carter, (son of sax player Russell Carter), who puts his whole body (and soul) into his bass, bringing out a deep, beautiful, and forceful resonance from his bass. It was great.

Beautiful, Antoine! Love this trio configuration, and the way both Naser and Rashan weave pulse/groove interplay. Thank you.
