Tony: Tricia the Big 12 has produced exciting football this season. Heck, they may have saved college football this season with the SEC, Big East, ACC and Pac 10 all down on the season.
Tricia: What can I say, as a former player in the Big 12- I am not surprised! Competitive games are what people want to watch and these Big 12 teams have definitely delivered this season.
Tony: OK Tricia lets pick the big one on ABC Saturday night in primetime. Its Texas Tech at Oklahoma with the Sooners a 7 point favorite. How do you play it?
Tricia: Take the number 2 Red Raiders to clinch their first Big 12 South Division title and take a huge step toward a BCS birth. Yes, I AM calling the upset! Take Texas Tech with the 7 points. With the Football Bowl Subdivisions best passing yards per game, with a ranking of 3rd in scoring, and leading the FBS in average total yards- I have total faith that the Red Raiders can upset the Sooners.
Tony: Hard to argue with you on that one. I am on Texas Tech behind their offensive and defensive line play. Do you think the injuries to the Sooners defensive line will make the difference in this game?
Tricia: You know, it may. But I think this Texas Tech team is good enough to get this upset regardless.
Tony: What about the Oklahoma ground game. They have balance on offense. They are not just a passing team behind Sam Bradford. Oklahoma can beat you on the ground with DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown. Might Oklahoma run and eat clock and try and keep Graham Harrell and the Red Raiders offense iced on the sidelines.
Tricia: You know, that wouldnt be a bad strategy. And you cant deny when youre playing a team with a great offense. The rushing yards and touchdowns those 2 guys have got are insane. I think all Texas Tech can do is play their game and hopefully shut down Oklahomas offense.
