gt500 is way too heavy in my opinion. but yes, it has a much better engine. i would much rather own the Roush. but if i had to pick one of them to drive for a day, it would be the GT500.

off the showroom floors the performance of the roush cars and the shelby are pretty equal. The roush handles much better. But the real difference lies when it comes time to modify the cars. The shelby has WAY more potential then the roush's do. The shelby has a forged 5.4 liter engine with ford gt cyl heads. The roush cars have 4.6 liter 3 valve gt engines with a lil eaton m90 on them. you can only go so far with them before you need a better shortblock.

This is a better track car than the Shelby by far. I have a stage 3 and it's an awesome car.
