This video:
The infamous two minute piece that Zappa wrote for Bozzio back in the late 70's (that incredible, renaissance decade for music).
This version is not technically perfect, but it's actually pretty close. It only took me two years to learn, what's the big deal?
The incredible thing about Zappa's music was his extremely profound understanding of subdivisions. His understanding of time in this sense--and as evidenced by many of the other pieces he composed--was so utterly, galactically bananas that, believe it or not, some of them make the Black Page #1 look like SNACK FOOD.
If you're looking to take your understanding of time further and further, Zappa the Explorer will lead you there. Try to get his charts if you can. You'll find subdivisions within subdivisions within subdivisions ... it's mind-blowing stuff!
Also, check out Steve Vai's website for pointers. (Search for "little black dots")
