Last clip of #6 Ralph Severe training in 1991 for stopping power, godan ranking under Hatsumi sensei of the Bujinkan Dojo at the time of filming. As you can see Scott Grentz as a filming partner. Scott was a shodan at the time of this filming under Ralph Severe.
Thank you. I would have enjoyed more Bujinkan members around this time and well today to have more pride and honor towards their ranking to have trained on hitting and stopping power. I found it to be lacking in just about 95% of all the members I met anywhere I went in the Bujinkan training. To be honest they were mainly demo type slow motion guys.. doing aikibujindo..
I agree with kamiyamashinobisha. Though I'm new to the Bujinkan 3 1/2 years, I haven't had faith in many Bujinkan members to include the many dan rankings. I remember a couple of years back Jack Hoban in NJ had us box for a bit one sat morning. I've held my own due to past training in jun fan and kali. Many of the bujinkan pure guys didn't do so well. Not many of my fellow Bujin brothers have practiced striking on heavy bags, makiwara, conditioning methods. I explore on my own.
