Why do I find it that games that aren't "CURRRAZZZYY" graphics tend to be better overall or at least more promising?

the story sounds pretty interesting, but judging by it, it looks meaningless. Graphics could be better considering this was being developed by square enix. Also gameplay lacks appeal. In a nutshell, it had a pretty good concept, and it seemed unpredictable.

hell this game looks like it could have some crazy, epic, awesomeness contests.
win prizes, some real, other new guns, outfits, maps, and maybe tattoos. a lil like brink but maybe this could be ALLOT better.
