I am not the industry 'experts' who featured in these audiobooks but from my basic understanding of things, if you stop gigging and stop writing songs, then your likelihood of creating demand for your album are likely to be greatly reduced.

Thanks for the reply. I think I agree with you. I've been reading a lot since the last post here. Looks like a way to go is building the fanbase, collect emails, and get the music to them directly. And hope that what you created is remarkable enough for them to spread the word for you.

This clip is very informative. It warns people of the difficulties they can encounter in the music biz in making and selling a CD. The music business is not what it used to be, sad to say.
