About 100 South African trade unionists picketed the Swaziland consulate in Johannesburg on November 18, 2010 in support of the Swaziland Democracy Campaign and in support of a march held the previous day within the country. Speakers here are Sikhumbuzo Phakathi, deputy president of the Peoples United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) and Bongani Musaku, international officer, Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU). • @braveswazichild I was talking about Britain and S.Africa. I support the Swazi peoples struggle. Well done, but don't use the unions. First they will not help your cause and if they associate yourself with the democratic struggle, and if you suceed (whether or not down to the unions), the unions will manipulate the government of the democratic Swaziland and that government wont want to look as if they are turning on their old helpers which is exactly what the unions will play on.

  • @Lordangers how did unions destroy swaziland, truth is that the government lack any economic vision and if i may remind you is that this very unions are comprised of swazi people who are fighting for their due rights.

  • @beastbytheway Unions destroyed my country and brough it to it's knees. Quite prosporous, then the unions wielded their power in politics. Just like they are doing here. They destroyed SA and now look, Zuma coming to please them at their every whim, "join a partnetship with the communist party even if there is no political gain", -Zuma, "okay". They are draining SA's economy and they will bring no benefit to SD's underdeveloped economy.

  • @Lordangers Yeah those pesky unions gave us the weekend and workers rights and protection from exploitation. What a bunch of jerks.

  • I hate the unions in SA, driving SA to ruin and poor service delivery but that doesn't stop government employees asking for further pay rises for a shite job. Leave SD alone
