I agree with you on that emerging markets the new economic powerhouses. However, we are 10-20 years away from them being dominant. I believe that in time, there won't be one global economic super power, but several smaller economic superpower, so that the global financial and trade system will be supported by these several economies. Even Europe under the EU banner will be a somewhat competitive market. It really is too dangerous to have one market be the dominant force in global economy.

You folks don't get it..Obama is a cousin to a multi billion individual in America and has been brought forward by the very super rich folks in America to try and bring back America's reputation to the world. It is true Obama is a very smart indivdual and thats what the rich folks in America wants. Point raised & agreed with..when the U.S suffers so too does the rest of the world, at the very least from an economic standpoint. thats just the nature of the global economy, dont forget that the U.S are the largest consumers and importers on the planet so a lot of economies depend on them. I disagree that the world would be completly "fucked" so to speak, without them though. Emerging markets Russia, Brazil, China, India are set to replace them as economic powerhouses, but we'll see i guess...
