New song I wrote for songwriting-class! I hope you like it, let me know! :)
It's mainly about someone not being able to have a baby so then she decides to raise a flower as her baby instead...

Lyrics:

She tried but she couldn't
the doctor tried to make her understand
not even maybe, a babygirl, no
He said "But you can try to grow a plant?"

So she broke off a branch of her liking
dug it in the mud as far down as she could
she tried, and the tears were wiped
as she sang it to sleep like a mother should

porter mon bonheur
boire plein d'eau, mon coeur
parce que tu es ma fleur'

day one passed without the sight of wooden fingers
the glance of baby-green left unseen
she covered it with leaves, so the seed wouldn't freeze
and she felt happier than she'd even been

other people in the park, couldn't see why she would hark
that bit of dirt, over and over again
and then it began, with seeing some green
which grew anytime she sang:

parce que tu es ma fleur'

that is her baby
she smells of flowers
she always looks colourful
and grows with the hour
she isn't needy
but her roots go deep
so she will stand her ground
and is hers to keep!

You have an amazing voice. and the lyrics of the song are awesome. I have to thank Kyle for telling me about you. But why is the Chorus in French?  Cependant , c'est magnifique et j'ai beaucoup aime ta chanson. Bravo.

I didn't really get a grade for it, we just need to write new songs every week and this one was what I came up with when we had to 'write a lullaby to comfort someone'..

Yes! I like it! ( I didn't know the choirs was in French, I assumed Dutch) But, you know we Americans, most of us barely speak ONE language, and we stole that one from the English ~ha) What is the translation? It IS a good song ... but you know me-

In holland we learn Dutch (strangely enough), German, English, French, Spanish (some..) and Greek and stuff... very much languages! But I guess Holland is just too unimportant for just speaking Dutch. We would be isolated from the rest of the world I suppose...

The translation is:

You seriously have the whole package - I keep looking for more and am more impressed every time. Beautiful lyrics, incredible voice and range, stage presence.
