With so many swimming pools in the Algarve, We decided to take our baby swimming underwater lessons, with WATERBABIES, Yvonne Fisher FISTC ASTA, to teach her how to turn back to the side of the pool if she fell in. My baby chokes in the bath when she gets water in her face. I could not do this to my baby whats the point?

@haven1095 . Thank you for your comment. The point is that we live with so many swimming pools, at an early age a child learns by instinct, how if they fell into the water, not to panic, turn and swin to the side of the pool and hold on.

I have 3 sons and I would have never done that with my baby, Taking her that long in under water? I can see you swooping her face towards your body but not putting her through the water like that. Just made me a little scared thats all.

@cm1979ful , there are so many water hazzards with the sea and the pools, we had to get her swimming early. It was one of the most scariest things, putting her under water for the first time, but it is natural for a baby.

My baby's a little over four months. We've had him in a floatie on his back before but I'm terrified of trying that. Maybe because I'm terrified and wouldn't know what to do if anything ever happened to him. Its amazing they can do that, but it scares the life out of me too.

you never know what could happen, anyone can drown on a teaspoon of water, she could go too take a breath & might not be ready & she would in hale that water & you are risking her life, all she needs to do is inhale a little bit

our baby loves going under water...but not for that long...glad your getting her used to it though! So many kids do not know how to swim...it's a shame :(
