Pt 2/2. Denis Lian in a Lotus Elise, Trackday at Sepang 19/12/09, (lap 2 & 3)

It was a wet day on track as me and my bud Denis, were monkeying around in a works Elise Mk 1 on drift tyres. YES, you heard me right. Drift tyres! Wet track + drift tyres + Denis Lian = FUN!!

I started video recording right off the pits - we went for 3 laps of mayhem and I had a sore back from trying to stay in my bucket seat, grasping my pouch between my legs and trying to hold my camera steady while flying through the corners!

Needless to say, we outdrove many cars (quite a few went off the track during this run) on the corners even with these tyres! We had a spin-out ourselves on Turn 7, (see timing 1:21) when we went over a wet ripple strip, but Denis did an impressive recovery and even overtook the white Integra that was just behind us prior to the spin!

Denis was the usual clown, laughing as he drove, complete with his showboating antics, (see timing 2.34, 3:04), you wouldn't expect anything less from THE EGO! (Well, the EGO was smoked by an EVO on the straights at 10:39).

When asked to say something at the end... THE EGO just pointed at his name on his helmet (at timing 9:27)! That says it all, doesn't it! ;)
