In November 2006 Al Jazeera began broadcasting in English with a promise to balance the flow of information from South to North. Two years on we are looking at the state of the world through the eyes of children. How do opportunity, expectation and lifestyle differ from region to region, and country to country?
We are focusing on Argentina, Gaza, Iraq, Russia and the United Kingdom.
Here we look at a two year old born in a world of opportunities, something which was denied to her parents under apartheid.

i think that you guys should do a week of journalism on teenagers around the world. a progame that lasts an hour and shows the lives of different children from all continents.
i think that would be a really good idea.
