Exactly! K&N *drop-in* filter for the win. It flows better than stock, yet still remains in the airbox for cold air functionality. I haven't checked but I think there's an intake resonator (in the driver side fender) that can be removed to lessen restriction even further.

@Rone170 not that imeen why conversion avangerlooks cool on front
-
its a mitsubishi avenger!!!! :) or a dodge eclipse? o.O :p
-
also is that a 100% bolt up converson?
-
@GvariColt the reason why the stock intake makes more power is because it sucks in colder air , it sucks in air from the fender. And yes the stock intake is restrictive but dence air produces more power then having a open filter element upder the hood , this is why they make col air intakes so we can have the best of both worlds i.e. less restrictive, more dence air 1.6% more power per 10 degree drop of air also it sound good to the automotive guys like us. hope this awnsers ur question.
-
why????
-
Import tuner magazine did dyno tests on those kind of intakes and it actually loses hp over the stock box air filter
-
go speed racer go!!! dumbass. put the stock front end back on. better yet just loose the avenger and get anything else. i would rather have a fuckin k car than a avenger. faster and prettier than them pieces of shit. lmao
