My time consuming effort to motorize the Igus slider. I apologize in advance for not answering every question promptly like,... "what motor is that" and "what is the model number of the pulleys?" I will attempt to answer all questions though. I do not manufacture these parts to motorize your Igus slider, but I did want to share the design in case anyone wanted to take ideas they see here and incorporate them into your slider modification. Have fun! I do not have any footage to share right now, but within a month I will post some footage. Dan

  • Does your slider do vertical motion, if so what size of a motor are you using?

  • @MrCrazyeyes001 Hi, yes it does vertical, and I am using as 20 rpm geared motor for the sliding and a 2 rpm for the panning.

  • Great work. I have a Igus slider and have wanted a clean looking setup and you nailed it. Thanks for posting the video.

  • @deeperrin Hi Dee,

I have been meaning to make a new video showing the improvements that I made to the panning speed. I will do that this week I hope,,, :) Thanks, Dan

  • can you share list of parts with price and where you bought them?

  • @bistaranjan I have just purchased the parts to modify the panning of the camera. It will involve replacing the servo mechanism with a DC geared motor and electronic speed control like the ones used for the sliding left to right, I am unhappy with the resolution (extreme smoothness) of the video when it is at it's slowest speed panning. This weekend I will have another video showing the improved panning slider.

  • @dankurydotcom please the link of the exactly motor you have on ebay it could be helpful for me

  • congratulations

  • Wow! Best camera slider I have seen yet!

  • this is exactly what i was imagining

  • We would love to see the new video.

I just placed my order with Servo City. Went with the 45rpm motor. I am now trying to track down the belt sold by the foot. I will need 11 feet of it. I am also working on a kill switch so I wont be able to run my slider past the end points of my slider.
