"Golden Rhoades" - the Historical Hunt for the Legendary Lost Rhoades Mines. This film superbly documents the epic search and potential discovery of one of the largest hidden treasures in America. A secret cache believed by many to contain a wealth of gold and natural resources; it has been suggested that the mines may contain an abundance of riches that could cover the national debt. The Rhoades Mines' protected location is believed (speculated) to have been provided to the Mormon church by the Ute Indians in order for the church to survive its difficult pioneering into Utah. The film delves into the myth, fact, and fiction surrounding an amazing tale of adventure, treasure maps, mysterious deaths, and intriguing characters. It provides details and clues to the mines that have eluded thousands of prospectors for over one hundred and fifty years. The film was shot (much in confidential locations) throughout the vast Ute Indian Territory and surrounding Utah Rocky Mountains. • Paul Tabbee has it right, as do the tribal elders. The gold has caused nothing but suffering to the Utes, and greed in all who come into contact with it. Leave it be Md enjoy the legend. Well done (other than the self righteous Mormon idiots, then again I suppose it is a part of the story).

  • ♥♥ wonderfully done ♥♥

  • To try to explain the beauty is like trying to catch a moment in time. It was beyond beauty and had meaning, of all the people who were anywhere near, I was allowed to see it as a jewel of nature, pristine, untouched. For several minutes I sat on a tree root of an ancient scrub oak and watched as the sun shone on it at just the right angle, but it would soon disappear as the gleam retreated with the sun. I was blessed that day, and nature was preserved.

  • I once came across a dry wash after a flooding rain for about a solid week. and in the bottom where it came to a basin and swept to the right, then continued through tree roots and patches of sand and rock. I had come down a coyote trail from above to see the creek that seldom flowed with any volume. When I got to the bottom I was treated to the most incredible sight I had ever seen. I saw before me a swirl of gold as wide as streached arms of a man and about 8' I showed no one and never will.

  • @kdoghunter and eventualy the farms would pay for them selves and all the profit will go in to the farm and the people makeing them work and if there is left over money it will go in to helping people one way or another. Lots of people need a place like this and i hope i can make it happen for them.

  • @kdoghunter If i find gold i will help Americans help them selves and after that i will help africans help them selves the bigest thig i want to do to help africa is drill wells so thay can grow crops and i will pay for this to happen thousands of people die every day of starvation and greed is the cause. As for america i would by land by citys and for thows out of work and on the street can come and work farms i creat so thay can have food to eat and a place to stay -

  • University of Arizona spanish archives suggest is was the lost city Arizoniac, translated- 'furthest outpost north'. In 1668, mining inspector Gabriel de Isturiz counted 388 opata miners and families worked the seven mines voluntarily for trade. It wasn't till the Jesuits were run off that slave labor was resorted to. So u see, this goes way back.
