  • Now that is very unusual for a brand new elevator to have door bumpers.

  • Yes it is.

  • It sure is.

  • They use a buzzer or bell that's wired to the floor selector system in the controller, and when the selector vane touches a floor relay, it sets the bell/buzzer off when passing the floor.

  • Yes, and it might need a new, quiet door operator with infrared door protection system.

  • Yes, it is a nice elevator, especially with the polished metal, which is why you saw me at the beginning on the doors.

  • The Otis Gen2 at my library has a bumper now.

  • Made by Dover!

  • very nice elevator!

  • How do they put in the sound of a floor indicator.

  • Wow I wouldn't want to get in the way of those doors. They close at like 10 MPH and slam really hard.
