This is a brand new device that has not been out for very long, and it will allow me to read & record DAISY books & music files. It also will handle Text files (something I forgot to say in the video) but this is going to be my future leisure book reader and I may try to apply this to my studies as well, using it as a vocal note taker.

  • You can also do this on the pocket.

  • @gallagher123123 Please check your email here on YouTube for a more detailed response.

  • To bad the Plex Talk Pocket uses Microsoft Windows, I would like something like that but with Linux as the OS, I got a VRS from rehab for the blind, glad plex didn't play NLS books at the time, if it was around.

  • @wheelieblind The PTP1 was out in 09.

  • Do you think you will go back to this hardware again. If you do i think you should get the book port plus. YOu will love it because the wifi feachers are out. You can listen to internet radio streams and download podcasts. You can also send files wirelessly.

  • These cassettes are an excellent way to be able to read again if you can longer see. THe Only problem with them though...Is the fact that you can't control exactly what the the library service sends you. You CAN request t yes, but there is no guarantee of what and when you get it. This plexi-talk is NEat ! I think this vid as always! Your vids are always informative, educational, and entertaining! KEEP-EM COMING!!! (HUGS) Ssmiles :))

  • Wonderful device.

  • I have one of those, I've started to use the digital cartage reader from the library too. I find that I continue to receive tapes too. I have a Victor reader stream, anything that takes SD cards is better. Even my portable 4 track recorder is bulky compared to the VRS, which already has been working with the NLS books. That's a cool device. The VRS using file numbers for storing notes, but allows me to make types of bookmarks, it has a longer battery life too.
