Musashi checks in on the mayor after saving the village from the fire previously. He's up and well. Mr. and Ms. Govern give Musashi a Calandar and Rocksalt -- items that he wonders what use they have.
However, some of the villagers reported seeing a huge rock near the beach. Upon investigation, it appears to be a large slug! The Rocksalt returns it to normal, clearing the path to what's known as the 'Isle of Dragons'
A Water Crest is found here which leads to the Fire Scroll! But it turns out that Kojiro was waiting here for a duel, with Princess Fillet as the prize. Musashi swiftly defeats his rival and returns with the Princess to the castle.
A little overjoyed, Musashi and Fillet think that the journey is over before Ribson reminds him that it's not over yet. The thieves need to be dealt with.

A lot of happenings in this one. I decided to use the time from the beginning to train rather than sleep at the Inn as it may be more beneficial.
When you get the Calendar, this becomes a permanent item in your inventory you cannot sell of discard. Items with this property a very important though.
The Isle of Dragons has some nice music. Too bad it only gets a few seconds to play! I wish there was a little more to do at this spot, but ah well. Just make sure you enter during the Low-Tide.
The duel with Kojiro isn't hard. But what pains me the most about this fight is that it is impossible to land a counter attack on this guy. There is no opportunity for you to block and counter-attack while he's open. Lumina Rotation does the most damage here, and would be very potent if you land a critical hit using it.
Have you ever played Samurai Legend Musashi? I've seen a couple videos of it, and it doesn't look as good as this game.

I have played it and I'm fully aware of it. I'll say that it was disappointing in a lot of regards, but it wasn't as terrible as I'd heard.
