My Chattering Lory (Ruby) cost me 1,100.00 from the pet store. Then about 2 weeks after she passed i looked all over TX and found a Lori breeder and got 1 black cap for 300 and a chattering Lory for 400. Heres the link to Ruby's Tribute Video (for some reason the disabled the audio =(

i just adopted my lolory from a rescue here in az. hes so beautiful & such a sweetheart i never knew lories were that expensive - i adopted him, his cage & all of his supplies for 200. they really go for that much? wow. mine wasnt treated very well by the people who ahd him so i know the rescue was really happy that i wanted him. hes so beautiful & hes already starting to come around. cant believe someone would want to mistreat a beautiful bird like him.

@brandonjamesbarnes : they're not, but they're very smart and learn fast. Mine was handfeeded so he's always been with humans. I think he might even think he is human ^^
