Documentary about Town Neck Beach and Old Harbor Marsh in Sandwich, Massachusetts, an eroding barrier beach and fragile ecosystem. Situated on Cape Cod, just east of the entrance to the Cape Cod Canal, the sand that would naturally flow from Plymouth is blocked by the jetties protecting the canal opening. This is the short video (10 minutes). The full length 30-minute version is available by contacting Randy Hunt at 508-833-8511.

  • My parents own a cottage on Freeman Ave. Growing up we visited Town Neck beach every summer.

I've definately noticed sand/bar changes over the past 20 years, this confirms it.

  • Very informative. My parents own a cottage on Freeman Ave, growing up we've visited town neck beach every summer. I thought i've noticed sand / sand bar changes over the past 20 years, this confirms it.

There's jettis every 1000 yards or so on town neck beach, the sand build up on them has changed in the past 10 years as well...

  • Great job. Very informative and I'm hopeful that a solution will be found to reduce the erosion.
