This is footage of the front ring/clutch face(?) in my 2000 323Ci BMW. Looks pretty shot to me. Question is..."is it clutch or compressor?"

  • Not the bad compressor itself. The clutch earing is completely shot.

    You can always replace bearing only, but it's not really worth it. Might as well buy an used ACC.

  • mmm...not very good..that it??!!

  • Doesn't necessarily mean the compressor is bad....looks like it's just that the A/C clutch is broken. You can probably just replace it and/or the clutch bearing.

    I hope you realize you got more problems though or else you'll see that again.
