Cities of the Gods (v): Ali Dorati dei Nefilim for violoncello by Katia Tiutiunnik 2004

This is the fifth piece of my composition Cities of the Gods: A Cycle of Five Works for Violoncello Solo, performed by the brilliant Canadian Juilliard graduate, Julia MacLaine, who currently resides in New York City. This piece, entitled "Ali Dorati dei Nefilim", is dedicated to my most important composition teacher, the late, great Maestro Franco Donatoni (1927-2000). The recordingof this piece is from my 2006 CEN.ART CD entitled, Cities of the Gods: The Complete Solo Violoncello Works of Katia Tiutiunnik, Performed by Julia MacLaine. This CD was mastered, produced and recorded by Dan Siegler at Saturnfoot Studios, Chelsea, New York City, with the financial assistance of the Cultural Council of the Australian Capital Territory (artsACT). The cover design of the CD is by Michael Ashcroft of CENART.NET. The photography of Julia MacLaine is by Dennis Connors while the black and white photography of Katia Tiutiunnik is by Bridget Elliot. The other photographs and paintings are by Laura Plevey, while the two Mesopotamian images are from the Bettmann Archives and elsewhere on the public domain.
