The cool thing about where I went to college (Tarkio MO middle of nowhere) from 85-89 is the school recruited heavily from Chicago and those Chicago kids all brought this house music with them. So we were getting exposed to the underground uncut funk pretty much as it was coming out of Chicago. I was a music major back then and I still dabble in electronica and those days listening to that early house music influence me to this day.

Why is there no mention of the song "Set It Off" by Strafe?

@KalleSnax Thats "A day in the Life" - Black Riot (Todd Terry) We were both on the same label- Fourth Floor Records.
QS: It was that song that I heard in Studio 54 and brought me to the label where I was had my 1st release.

It was a great time to be around. We had some stuff happening in Newark, NJ. Thank God for Chi town. I had the pleasure of spending the summer of 88 in London. Wow, time flies great times wonderful.

Back here in Chicago we really had to give it up to "Fluffy Little Clouds" and "Pacific State." It may have been a bunch of drugged out English guys, but those tracks blew our minds.
