This song makes me cry. He expressed in this song the exact conversation that took place between my little sister & myself in the hours proceeding her death last year from Lou Gehrig's disease at 26. She died in my arms as we slept together, right after I told her to go on and not stay here for me. She was a gift from God, born on Christmas Day & she declared her Independence from this world on July 4, 2010. I miss you, Salome. Thanks for posting this song. I found the blog that you are referring to. It does mention that "it is about loosing someone" but we talked to him for a bit after the show about Brianna and as of the date of the recording, she is still alive.
