Sporting a cool looking 3D technology is the new Topps 3D Live baseball cards. You hold the special card up to your webcam and a 3-dimensional hologram-like avatar representation of the player will appear above the webcam image of the card and the player will move as you rotate the card around. Topps uses augmented reality technology from a French company called Total Immersion to achieve the effect. And you can also play games using the avatar as the 3D player can either pitch or hit for 20 times at bat and youll even be able to choose the type of pitch or swing that the players avatar makes. You will need to download a browser plugin to play which is available for Internet Explorer and Firefox.
