That's correct. The best ones are made by Akai but Yamaha now produces their own. It's a wind-driven synthesizer controller, like a keyboard controller for a synthesizer. Played like a soprano sax, through software it can call up around 75 distinct voices.

Yep Sure is.....it's a bad instrument..I got a guy that play's one in my group. It can do anything sound like a flute....I've seen him do a freakin' bass solo on it...LOL that freaked my bass player out!
