  • This hammer was used in the Finale movement of

    Gustav Mahler's sixth ("Tragic") symphony

  • ...so than he'll find Walking papers in his dressing room...

  • the chunk of wood that goes flying makes it that much better. Hahaha.

  • If ever percussionists feel a bit cranky that they're not playing a melody that people will walk away humming, fear not, you may one day have the privilige of playing the hammer!

  • And so thor struck his hammer

  • Looks like the guy is reading the music sheet! That was a F# :D

  • I am... THE MIGHTY THOR!!!

  • @windstorm1000 Mahler said that he wanted a sound like an axe blow. It's only called a hammer because it looks like one rather than sounds like one. Personally, I don't think a ringing type sound would be as effective in this symphony.

  • why isn't a metal hammer used? it would have a more ringing louder tone. the wood one is too 'thud'

  • demasiado arrecho, nunca habia visto que era ese instrumento

  • THAT IS SO COOOOLL!!!!!!

  • YES!!!

  • should have put some walnuts under that haha

  • I know, i could be famous in this .... :D

Finally i can be part of orchestra lol!!! :-)
