I am in America 18 years now and watching tis has brought back great memories. i was looking for playland and downstairs at eden quay because I used to lay video games there

£99 in 1985 was alot of money then.

3:12 ad on the bus for dublin-gatwick £99, the same flight today costs 30 euros. My granny used to take me to Oconnel st when I was 5 years old where I would photograph the orange buses.

I could sit and watch this all day every day. The advertising for Dublin Zoo was very ambitious on the last bus. Nice to look back. Thanks for this portal in time.

KD1 was actually delivered to CIE in allover tan. Was repainted green before entering service. Same was true of KC1, which was scrapped in 1997.

It could be that CIE wanted the KDs and KCs to stand out from the Atlanteans.
Of course, two-tone green was eventually applied to the Ds and DFs that passed to Dublin Bus.

Yes thats KD1 alright, you can see the blue vinyl seats which it had for most of its life, also note the rear number destination (rarely used)

See the cinema @4.10 showing "Letter to Brezhnev" and "The Woman who married Clark Gable" both released 1985.
