A short clip of Robin Wood hand forging some new bowl turning hook tools and also having a go on a power hammer. Our thanks to bladesmith Owen Bush for use of his excellent facilities!

It goes 3-4" into handle. I forge a short tang on the end then just bash it into a tight fit hole. The square forged tang bites into the end of the hole and stops twisting.

  • Yur awesome and I mean that.

  • Nice video and skill - I read somewhere the old timers made hook tools from cinder block or hardened nails.

  • look very time consuming
