In this second video of our new series, I try to teach the Templehouse Reel. It's not one of my tunes so I do the best I can with making the dissection of the tune as clear as possible. For the notes, go to www.thesession.org

  • Jesuit erotica? Just when you think you've heard it all.....

  • ...Those Jesuits ...drat they,re everywhere ...! even at the TempleHouse !!

  • Ryan.... Thanks for all the great instruction. I know you are always very busy, but I hope that you continue to pick different tunes and break them down into understandable parts. Keep posting! :-}

  • great video! I wanna learn playing tin whistle myself, so do you think I need to buy one of those beginners dvds that could be found on ebay and web or I could find lots of useful stuf on you tube?

    thanx :D

  • @apelfed Thanks for doing this - it's a great help!

  • Thank you for the new video! Even though I'm nowhere near being able to play this tune yet, it's still a nice one to listen to (in my case, over and over!).

  • Thanks Ryan. You played my request and with brilliant instruction as usual. I will check out the book too. Shame that I'm still a bit bogged down with Silver Spears but I can't wait to play this tune. For more years than I care to remember, I have tried to play it but all the music I have is too fast and my sheet music doesn't explain the nuances enough for it to sound right.

    Goes to show, the old adage is true: Some people will have the very shirt off your back. Hahh.

  • Awesome. It's like the perfect tune for me to learn to play that faster songs. Thanks a bunch.
