If you're amazed that ASJ was taken down "IN PADS" I know a way to help you get over it. First, you stand facing the other direction while I get a 10 yard run to load up a haymaker that I'll land on your right ear. After they pick you up and revive you, we'll put some shoulder pads on you (no helmet) and repeat the experiment on your other ear. Then you'll understand why the pads have no bearing on this incident. Deal?

It was a two-handed push by a dumb fan dressed in all black. I'll take ASJ's word for it that it was "not a big deal", and that he had at least a couple of dozen worse hit's during the game. Those hits during the game, especially the one by Mayes and the other by Locker might have constituted a real assault. I'll give ASJ credit for admitting that his later arrest for going out and driving while intoxicated was not a smart thing to do, no matter what school you go to. Keep it cool guys!

I would just like for everyone to stop generalizing every cougar fan off of one bad one. I am appalled at this just as much as you are. But saying that this is the way all cougar fans are is like saying all Husky players are rapists (obviously very untrue) because of Jerramy Stevens and Venoy Overton.

I have messaged Austin Sefarian-Jenkins and apologized on behalf of the students of WSU and noted that this person does not represent our students, our university, or our greater Cougar Community

Quite frankly, both sides have fans and actions that embarrass the institution and distract from the positives values that athletics promote.

Whether it's a fan punching another fan or an athlete punching another athlete, it is assault, illegal, and immoral.

Watched the vid several times the push/punch is on the right side, lower half of the crowd at 0:12 seconds. It looked like a knock out right away but after watching it a few more times I personally think its a solid push. Also notice he is down at 0:13 and back up walking with no one attending to him at 0:19. I hope someone would've helped if he was knocked out. Just my opinion.
