@Glendaleyan FACTS: 20 years ago the area was Glendale's skid row. The City bought the property for redevelopment with eminent domain. They put out bids for developers; Caruso Affiliated won based on success of The Grove. GGP, owners of Galleria sued, lost & then lost countersuit. Citizens approved TAAB in 2 referendums. TAAB is now very successful, adjacent land values quadrupled, Galleria sales increased 20%. True story.

I was gonna live one block from something like this. But nooo Westfield with their deep pockets bought out the council people of Arcadia and brainwashed the folks to vote against the Caruso Mall. Sure there's a new expansion now, but no lagoon :(

He bowed out just recently, a sigh of relief from me, as much as Villaraigosa is distasteful he's competent and Caruso is totally right wing.
Reminds me of when he came into Glendale City Council and everyone applauded him (this was for the ABC debate) like he was their hero or something -all those were Northern Glendale bourgeoisie. Disgusting. And for a person who prides himself on his taste, his raffish Guys and Dolls suits are terrible! He has no taste.

Caruso does not care about the plight of the working class that needs low income housing. He's one of those free-market business-men that only cares about furthering his career by seeking power.
That's why he plans on running for mayor!
