  • This is how the future generations will achieve freedom and Liberty, through voluntarism, reasoning from first principles and by thinking things through logically and rationally. YOU GUYS ARE DOING A WONDERFUL JOB I commend you for REALLY providing an education to these children. I would love to see Philosophy for kids in the UK and the rest of the world!

  • This is fantastic! I wonder how many other schools have included Philosophy for kids in their curriculum. This is a great idea, and should be a compulsory subject, because it not only develops a child's reasoning and cognitive skills, but enables them to solve complex problems and understand vitally important philosophical ideas such as Ethics.

  • how do you get around these ethical issues in the classroom? is it an optional participation program? etc

  • *a thing - like meta-ethics topics which may fuel them to think there is no good or bad therefore I can do whatever I want whether legal or illegal, or are opposed to any debate about the questioning of religion or the way they were brought up being questioned as 'it's only one answer...there are other ways/answers of thinking about it' which may seem ok at first but confuse the child's self-identity or if the parents say something opposing to what the child is learning which may confuse them

  • to the program co-ordinators and principal:

    be careful to distinguish between what children are taught in school about values, diversity in a multicultural society, respect and other 'rules' stated in the NSW code of conduct and 'core value' regulations when in the classroom teaching 'broad' philosophical ideas and allowing them to critically analyse.

    The need to clarify this as much as possible to 'children' is important. What if the parents dont like them questioning whether there is such-
