@KenDyerJr I just haven't read the references before so would prefer to directly see the writing, but no one seems to be able to give me the exact places. Does he site them in his book clearly? (by the way, I do not doubt the connection - I just want to see more evidence of what people are claiming here.) x

@KenDyerJr can you tell me were you get you're info from?
I do want to know where people get all these myths about Horus from? Where does it say he wandered into the desert, was baptised ect....?

@Pagyptsian That's all documented in the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Coffin Texts, the Pyramid texts, the hieroglyphics, etc etc. Read "Christ In Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection" by D.M. Murdock. The primary sources of ancient Egypt don't lie.

Given the Old Testaments prediction of the Christ's coming, and it seniority to the gods you cite, you might consider revising your thesis to "mithra and krishna are proto-Christian rip-offs", or something to that effect.

@byaw42 The Old Testament started being written in approximately the year 1400 BC. These myths go back much farther than that. GET A CLUE.

1000 b.c.e is wayyyy later than the prophesies of Christ's coming in the Old Testament.
You are, however, right in part. The Roman(sun god worshippers and keepers of sun-day) perversion of Christianity is very close to the worship of many historical gods...because that was the point. The Romans mixed Christianity with their many sun gods. December 25 is not in the Bible. It is part of this perversion.
The Bible has nothing to do with astrology because it teaches against th practice of astrology

@byaw42 Hey DIPSHIT, ancient myths such as Horus go back as far as 3000 BC. Ancient Sumer features the "Epic of Gilgamesh" from 2000 BC (the same story as Noah's Ark.) There are Moses like myths, creation story myths, flood myths, Jonah myths, etc all tracable back to 2000-3000 BC. 10 Commandments can be traced back thousands of years in the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead. Everything of any significance in the Bible is all just REHASHED, PLAGIARIZED MYTHOLOGY and that's a PROVEN FACT.
