ANCHOR:
Residents waded through thigh-high flooded streets in northern Jakarta early on Wednesday as the combination of annual rains and high tide inundated low-lying areas.
Scientists have been warning that floodwaters would swamp the Indonesian capital this week due to the high tide and residents were prepared.
