link may disappear if all parts are not in the same folder and you dont work with directory folder.

if you making an mechanism witch you update a lot after assembly , you can lose some of the links because of wrong references < see model tree references. or learn to use skeleton modeling 'mode'

  • Hi, I have just started using proe5. I have a problem the during assembly making every time i try to align my links the links dissapear.

  • thank you

  • @ivann198 ok thats good, but a friend of mine told me that they are not backwards compatible though, so proE 5 projects will not work on proE 4. kind of the same concept as Microsoft Office: word 2000 documents will open on 2003, 2007, or 2010 programs, but not the other way around unless their file extensions are converted to those of which will be compatible on the earlier programs.

  • @mcgiggity69 as i am aware, proE is always FORWARD comatible. 2 to 3, 3 to 4, and yes 4 to 5.

  • will projects created in proE wildfire 4.0 be compatible with wildfire 5.0?
