Try Prepsol, thinners, butter, cooking oil, grease even. if it's dry and crusty and hard..
it's a lot of work.. but let it set and it will soften it..

Rubbing alcohol did not work for me. I can't get this f-ing stuff off my hood... but I can scratch it off with a finger nail :(

I'm amazed at how many people who call themselves "professional detailers," are oblivious to the fact that 91% isopropyl alcohol will work much better than solvents at removing tree sap and is harmless to the paint. Class dismissed.
