@GarciaViardot Totally agree with you on this. I have a bit of a personal preference for Ludwig, especially as Ortrud, die Farberin (in die Frau ohne Schatten), Fidelio and Fricka (die Walkure). Her voice sounds so exciting in the upper reaches of some of these soprano roles; her live Farberin from 1963 with Karajan is amazing, especially the 'Abtu ich von meinem Leibe die Kinder!'. I could listen to her all day. Glad to hear that someone else enjoys her voice too!
