  • damn why all the hate? it's an olympic sport... a game. i doubt that these guys go around acting like they can clean house in a bar or something, they're athletes like a soccer or basketball player.and as much as i watch ufc and respect/admire its participants, that's still a sport too, with rules and rule enforcers.the real classical martial arts have maiming, ripping and breaking techniques with a whole deadlier mindset to them, which would hardly ever get applied now.let athletes be athletes.

  • i bet i can kick your ass

my taekwondo vid check it out

  • taekwondo ist eine der besten sportarten der welt und wer meint das er gegen tkd gewinnen kann soll sich melden

  • A punch to the chest that interrupts an attack counts as a point. But you will probably give them a point as you leave your self open for a jump roundhouse. So it just raises both your points as a whole and makes the game shorter.

  • @storyacoustic Exactly :)

  • @U2LedZep That's correct. There are no points for hand strikes in sparring, but strikes are still useful for maintaining spacing.

  • nice vid man i have posted a vid check it out and leave a comment of what you think

  • @ScaevaArcana Taekwondo is 75% kicking and 25% punching. So it's EXTREMELY rare to see any hand techniques in sparring. Punches are usually only used if in close range, but I don't think they gives points when punching in the olympics.
