Hiking the Timp-Torne Trail

On the afternoon of Friday, 8 October 2010, I hiked a loop of trails beginning at the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area in Harriman State Park. I filmed this portion of the Timp-Torne Trail as it begins to ascend the northern end of the West Mountain Ridge, and I focused especially on the rock formations along the trail. The first part of this section, the trail goes through a deep hollow in the center of the ridge; after awhile, it climbs onto the eastern side of the hollow and proceeds along that height before it ascends the mountain itself. The music I included is "This Quiet Place," from Tom Howard's 1981 LP Danger in Loving You (not yet on CD).
