We got Thrall about 6 months ago. Unsure of his age, but he was from the "medium male rat" section. He has grown a bit since we got him.

Two days ago we woke up and he was acting like this in his cage. The night before he was just fine.

He never showed signs that anything was wrong. No sneezing, wheezing,... nothing.

We finally found a vet that can look at him, we'll bring him in tomorrow.

  • I am so sorry he passed :( A brain tumor? Wow. That makes sense about his falling over and such. What a pretty rat too. Hugs!

  • I just posted a video of my rat exhibiting much the same issues, maybe a little worse. I have to hand feed her yogurt, she wont eat solid foods. She was always a little quite but one day a couple weeks after I got her, she had trouble walking. Two days later I made the video. I tried attaching the video to this post, don't know if it worked though.

  • It looks like Thrall has a head tilt. Could be inner ear infection or pituitary tumor. I know this was posted a while ago. Hope he's okay.

  • what was wrong with the lil man in the end? Looks like he had a stroke maybe?
